What’s your favorite drink during the fall or winter seasons?
🧡 Pumpkin spice latte
♥️ Hot apple cider
🤎 Hot chocolate
OR
🩷 Pink lemonade
Weeks ago, the race was on for who could bring to market the “first” pumpkin spice drink of the season. ☕️
I’m not sure who “won” (or maybe lost) by forcing Fall on us in mid-August, but I much prefer Albert Camus’ approach to seasons:
❄️“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there is within me an invincible summer.“☀️
Camus suggests that no matter the external circumstances, we all possess an inner source of unyielding vitality.
Much like how a glass of pink lemonade reminds us of the essence of summer: warmth, vibrancy, and zest.
Even during the brisk fall days or the chilliest of winter nights, we have the power to tap into this invincible summer within ourselves.
It’s a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
A reminder that, like the refreshing sip of pink lemonade on a hot summer day, our inner strength can revitalize us when we need it most.
Even on the darkest and coldest of nights…hello Winter Solstice. 🌌
But let’s not rush things.
Autumn’s Reminders🍃🍂
The Fall Equinox reminds us about balance—equal parts day and night. Then, just as quickly, imbalance sets in, much like life.
The encroaching darkness and promise of winter’s chill remind us of the inevitability of life’s cycles and the hardships we may face.
Yet, fall also illustrates the potential for personal growth and renewal.🌱
Just as trees shed their leaves, we too can release what no longer serves us, making space for new experiences and self-discovery.
It’s similar to squeezing the sweetness out of a lemon to create that delightful glass of lemonade. And then use the seeds to plant hope and courage for your future transformations.
The good news…
You can infuse your fall season with your “inner invincible summer” and then plant the seeds for a courageous transformation…anytime and any season!🪻🌸🌻❄️
Cultivate Resilience 🍋
Much like a lemon tree endures through harsh winters, you, too, can cultivate resilience in the face of adversity.
Embrace challenges during this new season as opportunities for growth. Each trial you encounter is a chance to draw from your inner reserves and emerge even stronger.
Savor Life’s Simple Pleasures 🥰
A sip of pink lemonade can bring joy with its simple, refreshing taste. You, too, can find pleasure in life’s uncomplicated moments.
Take time to appreciate the beauty of the everyday—the warmth of a cozy blanket, the taste of a comforting cup of tea, or the laughter shared with loved ones.
Nourish Your Inner Sunshine ☀️
Your inner invincible summer is like a radiant sun that can brighten even the darkest of days.
Nurture it through self-care, introspection, and mindfulness. 🧘🏻♀️
Practice gratitude, engage in activities that ignite your passion, and connect with your innermost desires and values.
Then go out and share it with someone who’s struggling to see past the dark and cold of their current season.
Embrace Every Season with a Summer Mindset 🍉
You can navigate fall and all the seasons that follow with grace, strength, and the unwavering belief in your ability to endure and thrive.
Pink lemonade isn’t just for summer, which I guess means pumpkin spice lattes or hot chocolate are not just for fall. We can talk about that during the Spring Equinox. 🌓
For now, the key is to know what you need in this seasonal transition. 🌳🍁
What will be your mindset as the leaves change from green to gold and the snowflakes threaten your invincible summer mindset?
This week:
Self-awareness is a crucial aspect of maintaining the “spirit of summer” as we transition into fall. Use these three questions to help increase your self-awareness and carry that vibrant mindset with you:
1. What energizes me?
Reflect on the activities, people, and experiences that truly energize and uplift you. These are the things that make you feel alive and in tune with the “spirit of summer.”
Identify what specifically about these moments resonates with you. Is it the sense of adventure, connection with others, or a feeling of freedom?
Maybe it’s listening to a song like Walking on Sunshine 🎶
Or, bundling up and taking one more bike ride around the neighborhood. 🚴🏻♂️
By understanding what energizes you, you can intentionally incorporate more of these elements into your fall routine.
2. What holds me back?
Take time to acknowledge the factors that hinder your ability to maintain a positive and adventurous mindset.
Are there specific habits, negative thought patterns, or external influences that dampen your spirits?
Recognizing these barriers allows you to address them head-on and develop strategies to overcome them.
It might involve setting boundaries, seeking support, or adopting healthier habits.
3. What fall goals align with my summer spirit?
Consider your aspirations and ambitions for the fall season.
Are they aligned with the vibrant, adventurous spirit you associate with summer?
Ask yourself whether your goals reflect the values and desires that make you feel most alive.
If not, it may be time to reevaluate your goals and adjust them to better align with your authentic self.
This can help ensure that you’re pursuing objectives that genuinely resonate with you and your “summer mindset.”
The Last Leaf 🍁
By exploring these questions, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and what it means to carry your “spirit of summer” into the fall.
It’s all about staying true to your passions, addressing any obstacles that arise, and setting goals that reflect your authentic self.
Perhaps while sipping a little pink lemonade on a beautiful fall day! 🩷🍁
