In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing. âTheodore Roosevelt
Do you ever feel anxious when making a decision? đđ»ââïž
At some point, we all do.
Maybe you donât trust yourself because of decisions youâve made in the past.
Or maybe youâre afraid of making the wrong decision, so you hesitate. Delaying a decision is actually a huge decisionâŠand it usually comes at a significant cost.
The worst is the lost opportunities for learning, growing, and moving forward.
Iâve missed out on experiences, relationships, and fulfillment simply because I delayed making a decision. đ€ŠđŒââïž
Then I found a tool to help me stop second-guessing myself and instead make empowered, authentic decisions.
The key is to ask yourself this question:
Am I making a condition-based decision or a vision-based decision?
Â
Condition-based Decisions đĄ
A condition-based decision is driven by our circumstances.
We look at what is happening in our life and filter it through our internal survival mechanisms.
We analyze the status and levels of our current resourcesâhealth, career, finances, and relationships. Then we mix in our self-image and fears.
Yikes! Itâs no wonder we struggle to make decisionsâŠso many opinions and so much uncertainty.
Â
Vision-based Decisions âš
A vision-based decision is driven by the dreams we have for who we want to become and the foundational values we strive to live by. Knowing your vision and values means you can connect with your inner wisdom.
But what if youâre not sure of your lifeâs vision?
Then get very still, tune into your feelings, and ask yourself this question: Does this decision make me feel like Iâm contracting or expanding?
If the answer is âexpanding,â AND it scares youâŠyou are moving closer to your vision, even if you canât fully name or describe it.
Fear is not a sign of something wrong. It simply tells  you when youâre doing something  different.
Fear is often a sign that you are stepping out of your comfort zone and moving in the right direction.
When you choose your vision, you canât make a wrong decisionâŠEVER!
It means you are honoring your divine spirit.
Will mistakes and missteps happen? Of course! But your vision will guide you toward the next right decision. đŻ
It Takes Practice…For All of Us â°
Not that long ago, I realized how tired I was of indecision and overthinkingâcleverly disguised as. the âsafeâ life. It was NOT the life I wanted.
It was not the vision-based life I am called to live.
When I finally tuned into my vision, my decisions became instantly easier. I released my need for control and certainty.
I felt greater freedom and peace…and JOY!đÂ
When I practiced vision-based thinking and decision-making, my life began to FLOW.
You can have a vision-based life, too.
Itâs your time to follow your inner wisdom into a life meant for youâa life you LOVE.
